Nestabilities

I love, love, LOVE nestabilities! Here's a class that I put together in the spring and just realized I hadn't posted it yet!



I first saw this basket on Lauren Meaders blog


Basket
Cut list:
1 – 8 x 3 ½ - print – to cut out 2 scallop squares
1 – 12 x 3 ½ - Old Faithful bazzill – to cut out 3 scallop squares
1 – 3 x 2 – cream – 2 cut and emboss rectangle and stamp hippo
1 – 3 x 2 ½ - Old Faithful bazzill – scallop rectangle
1 – 8 x 1 – print
1 – 8 ¼ x 1 ¼ - Old Faithful bazzill

Other supplies:

Scor Pal
Med rectangle nestabilities

2 brass brads
crop-o-dile
tombow – 528 – blue grey
blender pen
scrap of acetate to use for coloring

General instructions:
Cut out the scallop square pieces. On the two printed scallop squares, score on one side only between the first and second scallop. On two of the blue scallop squares, score along three sides between the first and second scallop. Cut out the 2 bottom corners along the score line. You will be cutting out the corner scallop only. The remaining scallop square is the bottom of the basket. Glue the pieces together and attach handle with a brad, using the crop-o-dile to punch a hole first.

1 – 5 ¼ x 4 – print inside
1 – 3 x 2 ½ - cream – inside oval
1 – 3 2 ½ - Root Beer Bazzill – inside
1 – 4 x 3 – cream – front
1 – 4 x 3 – Old Faithful bazzill – front

General instructions:
Score at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8 mark

Cut list:
1 – 8 ½ x 3 ½ - Pomegranite bazzill
1 – 4 x 3 – print
1 – 4 x 3 – cream to stamp image on

These are all really cool, but I want to know, how did you do the scalloped edge one? Did you just lay the tan embossing mat under part of it so it wouldn't cut it?
